Gum Wrapper Creations

This is what happens when an artistic fourteen-year-old trying to escape the blazing heat of the eastern Washington sun finds a few loose gum wrappers and realizes that they are the same color as the Seattle Seahawks poster hanging on the wall. Since that summer day in 2010 I have challenged myself to create more complex pieces and have introduced new materials such as foil wrappers from chocolates and artificial leafing. I have framed work and I have attached some of the pieces to canvas. This art form can become frustrating at times but nothing compares to the feeling of numbering my art and signing my name. Because of my art, I have interacted with many fans and professional athletes through social media and has even provided me with the incredible opportunities to meet my favorite athlete and musician!
